Passed away surrounded by her family at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home. Surviving are her children, Gary (Sonny) Jez of South Fulton, TN, Janet (Chris) Leroy of Punta Gorda, FL, Dan (Nancy) Jez of Clarklake, MI, David Jez of Jackson, MI and Cathie (Frank) Phillips of Horton, MI; grandchildren, Christie Huber, Frankie Phillips, Art Draper, Amy DeToro, Brandy Blackmore, Jeremy Jez, Heather Brown, Angela Mytych and John Jez; 13 great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by her husband, Edward; son Ronald Jez; and daughter, Sharon Jez. Virginia was a cashier at Wrigley’s/Great Scott, a cook at St. Joseph Daycare Center, a greeter at Meijer retiring in 2001. She was a resident of Countryside Living for over 14 years and enjoyed her friends and caregivers in the Villas, Court, Assisted Living Center and Care Center. Virginia liked playing cards, bingo and all the other activities. She was a member of St. Joseph Church and Rosary Society, Polish Legion of American Veterans, Polish Falcons of America, Moose Lodge and an organizer of the “Frog Town” reunion. Virginia’s family will receive friends on Thursday May 11, 2017 from 5-8 PM with a Rosary Society Rosary at 5:15 PM. A Prayer Service will be held on Friday May 12, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the Funeral Home followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Oratory.     I’m so sorry to hear of Virginia’s passing. She was such a kind, caring lady to those around her. We played BINGO in her honor today, but will always miss her infectious laugh. Prayers for your entire family.
